Join WNYPE for a FREE tour of the LaFarge Holcim Lockport Quarry! Holcim is a global leader in innovative and sustainable building solutions including cement, aggregates, ready-mixed concrete, and roofing/insulation products. With a national presence spanning 43 states, Holcim operates approximately 350 facilities and employs roughly 7,000 people in the United States. Holcim owns and operates the Lockport Quarry located at 400 Hinman Road, Lockport, New York.
The Lockport Quarry is situated within the Lockport Dolomite geologic formation and has operated since the 1970s. The aggregate mined from the quarry is used in Federal, State, and municipal projects, serves the two asphalt plants located onsite, provides aggregate to local producers of ready-mixed concrete, as well as larger riprap stone for erosion protection projects.
