The Lockport Quarry is situated within the Lockport Dolomite geologic formation and has operated since the 1970s.  The aggregate mined from the quarry is used in Federal, State, and municipal projects, serves the two asphalt plants located onsite, provides aggregate to local producers of ready-mixed concrete, as well as larger riprap stone for erosion protection projects.
